Keeping it simple – an Italian cooking masterclass with Alastair Little at The Beehive
I am delighted to say I will be back in the UK later this month. And would like to invite you to an exclusive masterclass cooking event to celebrate my visit, and catch up with old friends!
Given the season, I thought a cookery class featuring winter-inspired Italian dishes should fit the bill. So I will be demonstrating:
– Bucatini Carbonara (the real recipe, not the travesties generally foisted on people!)
– Linguine with pesto, potatoes and green beans
– Pasta e ceci. (Ditalini with chickpeas)
– Penne amatriciana (pancetta and tomato)
… along with lots of tips, chat and question answering, of course!
Then, for lunch, I will be serving:
– Zuppa di farro (Spelt soup)
– Pollo m’briaco (“Drunken chicken”), mash and cavolo nero
– Cantucci and Vin Santo (Cookies and “Holy wine”)
The great news is that we will be hosting the event at The Beehive gastropub in White Waltham near London, brilliantly run by Proprietor Chef Dominic Chapman and his team. I have known Dominic for many years and we are collaborating on the rollout of By Alastair Little too, which is also very exciting…
So, full details of the day are as follows:
11:00 Coffee and greetings
11:15 Masterclass begins
1pm Glass of fizz, and mingle
1:30pm Lunch served
3pm’ish Depart The Beehive
£75 p/person, including lunch and glass of champagne
If you are able to join us and are coming from London, I am pleased to say that we will provide complimentary transfers from Maidenhead station to The Beehive, so you can easily head out from, and return to Paddington.*
