Pappa al Pomodoro Soup 500ml – Serves two


Pappa al pomodoro is a Tuscan classic.

When I used to demonstrate this dish at my cookery school in Orvieto it initially got what can only be described as an underwhelming reception. However this was before anyone tasted it.

Typically served chilled or slightly warm, and made with wonderfully ripe tomatoes, characterful bread and really fine olive oil, it is one of the great soups of the world.

Dairy free and vegan.

Little Tip

Upon serving add a sprinkle of freshly grated parmesan and a drizzle of top quality extra virgin olive oil to complete the treat.


Tomato juice, tomatoes, bread (wheat flour), onion, extra virgin olive oil, sage, basil, salt and black pepper.

Keep in the fridge and eat within use by date on lid. Once opened consume within 2 days.


Ideally serve chilled, or slightly warm, but you can heat it if you prefer as all are equally good and authentically Tuscan.
